KEITH'S BIOGRAPHY
Biography - Keith Andrew Grim
CHANGES AND GROWING AS A MUSICIAN
Keith is an instrumental guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist whose goal is to share the gospel of Christ through music. He lives just outside of Dallastown, PA. Keith started pursuing his solo music ministry in the year 1990.
In 2010 Keith has taken steps to add some new and refreshing changes to his music ministry. This first started with the Passion Play On Guitar Concert Series. The idea behind this series was to bring people closer to the true meaning of Holy Week and Easter. Keith played the Passion Play Concerts at six different churches and it was well received in all of the churches.
In addition to the Passion Play Concerts Keith has started adding some vocals to his concerts. In the Passion Play Concert Series he sang two original songs as well as had two hymns for the congregation to sing with him.
Keith has decided to continue adding vocals to his concert presentations. This came about through his work with Incubator Records last summer and at the urging of his daughter. Although Keith did not sign with the record label, he did take some of their advice. They suggested that Keith add some vocals to his concerts. He decided this was the year to begin!
Instrumental music will still be his main focus, but the vocals will be added in to help give variety to the concerts. Keith believes adding the vocals and original music to his concerts will show a different side of his music ministry and will connect with his audience in a brand new way.
With the success of the Passion Play On Guitar Concert Series Keith has also decided to put together a program called The Christmas Story on Guitar in 2010. This will be the same concept as the Passion Play Concerts, various scriptures will be read, a corresponding song will be played according to that scripture, and there will be some audience singing! Keith will also sing some original Christmas songs for this presentation.
Keith is a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church in York, PA.
Keith has also traveled to many states in his career as a musician including, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Colorado, and Texas. Keith's hope is to connect with his audience to help them grow in their faith as Christians and to bring peace to people's souls as David did when he played the harp for King Saul. (1 Samuel 16:14 - 23)
Keith has also toured with the Reach Out Singers from September 1985 through May 1986. Keith played rhythm guitar as well and some of the singers sang some of his original tunes. The Reach Out Singer tour traveled to Israel, Egypt, Belgium, and many places in the USA!
He has also served on several praise teams including Highland Park Presbyterian for the Bridges Sunday School Class in Dallas, Tx and The Scofield Bible Church Single's Class, also in Dallas Texas in the late 1980's. He also played for The Temple Baptist Church Praise Team in York, PA and the Hempfiled United Methodist Church Praise Team in Lancaster, PA in the early and mid 1990's.
In addition to playing church events, Keith has also played community events, picnics, bookstores, weddings, bars, and various Christian music festivals. This year Keith is hoping to expand his music ministry and to make some new friends along the way. His long term goal is to make music ministry his full time profession and to take the gospel of Christ to those who are ready to hear!
So here is to a new time of growth, change, and music!
