Risen Today

A Passion and Easter Cantata

In 2017 "Risen Today - A Passion Play Music Cantata" will have the congregations involved with the program. The congregations would provide the readers for the scripture passages as well as provide vocal music of traditional hymns 4 times throughout the cantata.

At the beginning of Acts 3 - 10 a member of the congregation will come up and read the scripture passage for that Act. Keith would then play an instrumental solo on guitar followed by the vocal for that particular Act.

After Acts 1, 5, 9 and 10 the congregation would provide the music for the selected hymns. They could choose to present the hymns by having a soloist, a choir, a praise team or even by having the congregation sing.

The traditional hymns point directly to the cross while the original vocals by Keith vocals are based on Bible verses from various versions of the Bible. The Cantata follows the events as recorded in Mark and Luke. The concert length is between 55 and 60 minutes.

In 2009 Keith presented an instrumental version of the Passion Play at the Kingston House in York, PA. After the concert he decided to expand the Passion Play to include vocals. Since 2010 he has presented The Passion Play at various churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

Keith's hope is that all who hear are inspired to remember the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Here is an outline of the cantata
