I love how things are starting to open up as we move past the Corona Virus pandemic. Concerts are slowly coming in and I look forward to playing more live events as things settle down even more. Posting videos and playing Facebook live events are not quite the same as playing live.
My summer tour is taking me to York, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Columbia, PA, and Universal City, TX. I am looking forward to playing these events. But in addition to these tour dates, I am also very active playing music at my home church, Spry Church, School Street Campus, York, PA.
It is an honor to play my music for the Lord, whether it is at my home church or as a guest for other churches and events.
This month marks the two-year anniversary since I retired from teaching as a Physical Education teacher. After over 30 years in public education, I felt it was the right time to retire. Part of the reason I retired is to pursue my music ministry full-time. I believe that God was first leading me into full-time Christian music ministry when I was a senior in college in 1983.
But things don't always work out on our timetable. I was impatient for many years as I waited for the calling to be fulfilled. I was recently talking to a pastor friend of mine and about how God uses people of all ages to fulfill His purpose. We were talking about Moses and Abraham who were called to do great things for God in their older years. And they followed God's ways and they are two of the greatest examples we have of being faithful to God's calling.
I'll be turning 60 this year on October 9. And in many ways, I feel more alive than ever. I would love to be able to continue pursuing my ministry on a full-time basis without having to get another part-time job. But it is going to be a faith journey, one that takes patience and trust.
I guess I just had to go through a 36-year wilderness experience before it was the right time for my ministry to be accomplished. My hope is that the Lord will provide the financial resources for me to continue with this faith journey by providing opportunities to play live.
If you would be interested in having me play for your church or venue, please reach out to see if we can schedule a concert! And for the most part, I play for love offerings, donations, or what a church can afford. I also make my CDs available for donations at my events. And you can download my music for "Your Price" from my music page!
But mostly I ask for your prayer support as I continue my calling to help bring the gospel to people through music.
Thank you and may God bless you!
