On May 3, 2023, my dad passed away from his battle with esophageal cancer. He was a man of faith and was committed to God and Jesus. He taught Sunday School and served on various committees at the churches he attended.

He played four sports in high school: football, basketball, baseball, and track. His favorite was baseball, which he also played in college. He was always very healthy and athletic.

He loved playing golf. He lived until he was 90. He was still riding roller coasters at age 85!

However, it was hard to see him suffer the way he did. But he was not scared of dying. He was not thrilled with being sick, but he knew where he was going when he died. His faith in Christ helped sustain him through this time.

The song "He Will Come to You" is written from the perspective that God will comfort us during our darkest times. The themes of the song include the astounding nature of His love, the comfort found under His wings, and the rest that Jesus offers to our souls.

I was able to play the song for him several times before he passed away. He loved the song so much that he asked me to sing it at his funeral. It was very hard singing the song. But I was able to get through it.

This song has now become my theme song for the concerts I present. And when I tell the story of how the song came about, people relate to it even more.

I hope you like the song and that God encourages you through the lyrics and music.
